I am writing to once again sing praise for Olga in your La Ceiba office and I hope that all efforts are made to let her know that she is an exemplary employee.
This week a package of ours was put on a boat for delivery in Guanaja. Unfortunately this was not one of the 3 boats I had requested to be used and your people were unaware that the new boat “the Linda Girl” only services the North Side of the island. If you have never been to Guanaja, having a package delivered to the North side makes pick up extremely difficult and costly. The service was started by the Linda Girl because the people on that time had the same problem getting to the South Side to pick up their deliveries.
Either way, it was a mistake that your office and delivery people could not anticipate as they had no idea of the delivery point of this new boat and assumed that ALL boats going to Guanaja would do. I wrote Olga and even spoke to her on the phone and I can tell you that she handled the problem with the utmost concern and understanding. Customer service, especially service that is tuned to the customers needs and wants, is sorely deficient in Honduras and your company has come through brilliantly anytime there has been a problem.
Olga is a real plus for DIP and all of us who deal with her on the island are grateful that you have found such a wonderful employee. I just wanted to let you know what a fine worker you have. It is always so nice to be able to write positive things about a company’s service as so many people only take time to complain.

We have been in La Ceiba for over a year, on our sailboat, and have had numerous boxes and packages shipped to us from the States, including a new mast.

This morning we went to the school and had the privilege of delivering your donation. I’ve put together a short presentation with pictures that I hope conveys the heartfelt thanks for your efforts. We could only bring a few kids into the school office to let them see what you had sent, as it’s impossible to go into a classroom and only give something to a few and not to all – chaos would reign as you can imagine. Ms. Elena is very good at knowing which children are the most in need and will supply them with items on an individual basis, but lots of what you sent will be given to each teacher to use in their classrooms – and that way, much of what you sent reaches a lot of children. The only thing missing this morning was having all of you here.

Estimado Roberto: Una nota breve para felicitarlos por el nuevo sistema de inspección (scan), y rastreo de cajas (tracking). Lo use por primera vez hace unas semanas y que placer tan grande ha sido ver la eficiencia y profesionalismo de todos Uds. Por primera vez en muchos años no tuve que llamar a nadie para que me dijeran el estatus de las cajas que envio a Honduras. Simplemente seguí las instrucciones que Juan Osorio y Felipe Santos me dieron, y cada dia que hacia un rastreo sabia como iba el proceso. Un dia antes de la entrega de las cajas, volvi a revisar el sistema, y cual fué mi sorpresa que hasta el nombre del conductor mostraba. Al dia siguiente muy temprano, Dña. Doris, nuestra administradora en la finca, me llamó para decirme que todas las cajas habian llegado en perfecto estado. El trámite de principio a fin tomó dos semanas!!
Demás está decirle que bajo el manejo de Felipe Santos, Dip Shipping en Kenner es una compañia de primera, tanto en servicio como en cortesía al cliente. We cannot thank you enough for your excellent service. In the past, we dreaded having to ship things to our house on Roatan because it usually involved several days of negotiations to get our things back to the house. But, DIP cannot be beat. The staff is completely professional, always available to email you immediately and they deliver your items directly to the door. It seems like a miracle after years of dealing with shipping companies.
Last year when we were holding our daughter’s wedding on the island, Maria was amazing monitoring our complicated shipping list with items coming from a wide variety of venders. She advised us when boxes arrived, with the able help of her warehouse folks in Miami. Then, she let us know when things arrived and when they would be delivered. We didn’t lose a thing and nothing was damaged in our boxes and boxes of wedding tablecloths, napkins, chargers, silk flower arrangements and a million other things. PLUS, they handled this all in the middle of the Honduran coup.

I have an address at DIP in the Miami Area (Doral, Florida 33172) and if I order something on the internet, I usually have it within 3 weeks. I have shipped many large loads, say 30 boxes of household items at a time and ALL have arrived intact. The charge is approximately 85 cents per pound. You can purchase insurance…. not very expensive either. You can receive mail for approx. $7 per stuffed manila envelope of letters, per week, bi-weekly and monthly. The crew that delivers here on the island are VERY NICE. On the DIP website- you can contact Maria Dip, and here in Roatan, call Miss Darnell at 9810-8009.
A vehicle is another story, if you’re shipping a car… I don’t know much about that. But for all my deliveries/orders DIP has been excellent!

I am writing to once again sing praise for Olga in your La Ceiba office and I hope that all efforts are made to let her know that she is an exemplary employee.
This week a package of ours was put on a boat for delivery in Guanaja. Unfortunately this was not one of the 3 boats I had requested to be used and your people were unaware that the new boat “the Linda Girl” only services the North Side of the island. If you have never been to Guanaja, having a package delivered to the North side makes pick up extremely difficult and costly. The service was started by the Linda Girl because the people on that time had the same problem getting to the South Side to pick up their deliveries.
Either way, it was a mistake that your office and delivery people could not anticipate as they had no idea of the delivery point of this new boat and assumed that ALL boats going to Guanaja would do. I wrote Olga and even spoke to her on the phone and I can tell you that she handled the problem with the utmost concern and understanding. Customer service, especially service that is tuned to the customers needs and wants, is sorely deficient in Honduras and your company has come through brilliantly anytime there has been a problem.
Olga is a real plus for DIP and all of us who deal with her on the island are grateful that you have found such a wonderful employee. I just wanted to let you know what a fine worker you have. It is always so nice to be able to write positive things about a company’s service as so many people only take time to complain.

We could only bring a few kids into the school office to let them see what you had sent, as it’s impossible to go into a classroom and only give something to a few and not to all – chaos would reign as you can imagine. Ms. Elena is very good at knowing which children are the most in need and will supply them with items on an individual basis, but lots of what you sent will be given to each teacher to use in their classrooms – and that way, much of what you sent reaches a lot of children. Lo use por primera vez hace unas semanas y que placer tan grande ha sido ver la eficiencia y profesionalismo de todos Uds. Por primera vez en muchos años no tuve que llamar a nadie para que me dijeran el estatus de las cajas que envio a Honduras. Un dia antes de la entrega de las cajas, volvi a revisar el sistema, y cual fué mi sorpresa que hasta el nombre del conductor mostraba. Al dia siguiente muy temprano, Dña. Doris, nuestra administradora en la finca, me llamó para decirme que todas las cajas habian llegado en perfecto estado. El trámite de principio a fin tomó dos semanas!!

We cannot thank you enough for your excellent service. In the past, we dreaded having to ship things to our house on Roatan because it usually involved several days of negotiations to get our things back to the house. But, DIP cannot be beat. The staff is completely professional, always available to email you immediately and they deliver your items directly to the door. It seems like a miracle after years of dealing with shipping companies.
Last year when we were holding our daughter’s wedding on the island, Maria was amazing monitoring our complicated shipping list with items coming from a wide variety of venders. She advised us when boxes arrived, with the able help of her warehouse folks in Miami. Then, she let us know when things arrived and when they would be delivered. We didn’t lose a thing and nothing was damaged in our boxes and boxes of wedding tablecloths, napkins, chargers, silk flower arrangements and a million other things. PLUS, they handled this all in the middle of the Honduran coup.

I have an address at DIP in the Miami Area (Doral, Florida 33172) and if I order something on the internet, I usually have it within 3 weeks. I have shipped many large loads, say 30 boxes of household items at a time and ALL have arrived intact. The charge is approximately 85 cents per pound. You can purchase insurance…. not very expensive either. You can receive mail for approx. $7 per stuffed manila envelope of letters, per week, bi-weekly and monthly. The crew that delivers here on the island are VERY NICE. On the DIP website- you can contact Maria Dip, and here in Roatan, call Miss Darnell at 9810-8009.
A vehicle is another story, if you’re shipping a car… I don’t know much about that. But for all my deliveries/orders DIP has been excellent!
